How to travel from Paris to London

We took Eurostar from Paris Nord to London St Pancras, a duration of 1 hr 25 mins. It cost 56 Euro per pax for the Eurostar from paris to london.

At Paris du Nord, fill in the immigrant card and pass the custom. The officer will ask question on where you staying in london and hw many days you are staying. The waiting area is crowded and there are some stall that sells souvenir. I bought a bottle of XO brandy in Eiffiel Tower glass bottle for less than 10 Euros.

Upon arrival at London, alight the train and simply walk with the crowd toward the King cross station.

At the station, at the end on the right side there is several machine to purchase osyter card. Purchase of 1 Oyster card cost $20 pound. Machine dont accept 50 dollar notes, thus, i used my CIMB credit card.

At king cross station, you can visit the harry porter 9 3/4 platform for phototaking.

Simply exit the underground and cross the road diagonally, you will see the king cross station. Use the lift if you are carrying bulky luaggage. The 9 3/4 platform is at the other end so just walk straight down. Professional cameraman and scarf thrower to help you take a good shot. Of course not necessary to buy from them, you can get your buddy to help you to take photos too.

Day 1 in London

London tube are very old and they actually doesn’t have lift or escalator. Not friendly to tourist with bulky baggage. Hence, advise to take to Tottenham court where escalator are available just need to walk slightly more rather than hand carry luggage up two flight of stairs.
Leicester aka London chinatown, lively with multi national cuisine can found there and a lot of mini mart well stock up. We walk from our apartment to convent garden where we have our lunch at Jamie Italian. The fried calamari and brownie is super good! The meal cost us 25 pounds for 2 pax.
