Day 5 13 March 2016
We planned to head up to Mt Fuji Viewing, we took an early bus at 7am from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko station. Bus terminal located infront of Yodobashi Camera (West Store) Shinjuku Station West Exit.
Just walked in and Q to buy the tickets or alternative you can make reservation online and pay at express bus terminal with cash, 1750 yen per adult. Almost 2 hours ride, we arrived at the kuwaguchiko station and we buy tickets for the bus to kachi kachi ropeway. It will be a sightseeing bus stop 11. We bought the kachi kachi ropeway ride up for 720 yen per pax for roundtrip. It is like their cable car.
Nice scenery viewing, able to see Mt Fuji if it is a clear sky. Unfortunately, we are not so lucky for this trip. It is quite cloudy and we couldn’t view the Mt Fuji. We head back to kawaguchigo station via bus again and take bus to gotemba from the station for 1,510 yen, pay upon boarding. The ride from kawaguchigo station to gotemba outlet is about 1 hr 40 mins. Premium Outlets is offering free coupons for extra savings in addition to the normal 25% to 65% discount prices. Present your passport at the Information Center
Gotemba is pretty big and have 2 section east and west wing. Is crowded during lunch time. But I recommend to visit this sushi shop at the corner. The Q was too long, we should have rush to Q first before we shop around. We didn’t able to join the Q as we only have less than 3 hours to spend at the outlet as we are taking the 4pm bus back to Shinjuku. We simply buy some hotdog bun and Chinese stall food to fill our stomach. Nevertheless, I try walking into the shop and ask if I can take away, WOW, they allow and I don’t have to join the Q to be seated. But only can take away their sushi, sashimi and soup are not allow. But at least I get to try. Their serving in japan is always overflowing.
We manage to take the bus from Gotemba directly to Shinjuku, by waiting at the bus area. The day sky was not clear, if it is clear we could have got a chance to see Mt fuji from gotemba another 2 hours ride back.
Back to Shinjuku, we plan to look for this tempura shop. Searching high and low with the google map, it keep says we arrive the destination, but we couldn’t find the shop. And finally, we decided to open on of the sliding door where we spotted the lanterns hanging outside which resemble the one we saw in google image.
Tsunahachi
Address: 3-31-8, Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo 160-0022
Their tempura is so different, maybe is different flour. But they cook and serve on the spot. Im not a fan of tempura, but what brings me here is to try the tempura egg for 150 yen each. It is crispy outside that coated with the flour while egg yolk is only half cooked, with the yolk flowing out. Yummy!
Day 6 14 March 2016
Is Disney day, so we head out early and during our transit we are at the wrong platform, because I have been checking for the train name but after time has passed, I suspect we are at the wrong platform. So I approach and ask an aunt at the stall she told us the platform is at downstairs, quite a long walk down though.
Japan has Disneyland and Disneysea, many recommend to Disneysea as it is the one and only available. But I decided to visit Disneyland because I don’t really dare to take rides and I am not so adventures. Disneyland will be fine. Upon arrival, it starts to rain, so we went into the gift shop before we enter to the entrance of Disneyland to buy raincoat. We only get to take 1 photo with the mickey mascot and we had our lunch inside.
And it rains the wholeday, and fireworks at night was call off. Now than I realize as I blog, how rocky this trip means to me. It was so cold in wet weather and my leggings are soak up with rain water for the whole day. The rain persist the whole day and announcement made at 8pm that the fireworks will be cancelled for the night. Return back to our hotel, just opposite we head in for some dinner. The clam is so good and the scallop. Had a wet and tired day, we had our dinner in a warm and cosy place with satisfying food to fill our stomach.
Day 7 15 March 2016
Sushi Daiwa
Address: Bldg 6, Tsukiji 5-2-1, Chuo-ku
Operating Hours: 5.30am – 1.30pm daily
It is Tsksuji Market, I couldn’t get up very early, many will went down to tsksuji market to see the fish auction while I decided to give it a miss. To avoid long Q at Sushi Dai or Sushi Daiwa, you ought to be as early as 6am to be there to Q for about 15- 20 mins. But people like me to leave hotel at 7am, taking the Oedo Subway Line directly from Shinjuku Station to Tsukiji Shijo Station. The one way trip will take about 20 minutes and cost 260 yen and arrive the shop after some walk at 8.00am, I have to Q for 45 mins. Just 4 stall away is the sushi dai, I joined the sushi daiwa! It is a must visit to tsksuji market, or in fact, it is the only reason why I visit the tsksuji market. We q for sushi Daiwa, Omakase set where they serve you soup, 10 sort of sushi and 1 roll, include of one tamago by itself for 3780yen. We additionally ordered Scallop sushi and we are already very full. The Taiwanese sitting right beside us recommend us to try ikauni, which he claims not many knows about it. We are extremely full, but still we have it a try! I tell you best sushi ever in my lifetime. Oh my goodness, and it cost about 800 plus yen. It is totally worth it. We spend nearing $60 sgd for this good meal.
After breakfast at sushi daiwa, we head down to asakusa as mum want to get fortune cat. There is a lot of fortune cat as compare prices and only buy from the cheapest we can find. From there we head down to ueno market where my mum bought big dried cuttlefish even she bought some at the tsksuji market. Is about noon time, we head down to Harajuku for some shopping, the daiso and calbee store is a must visit. Stayreal shop is located in Harajuku as well.
We take train down to shibuya, where there is underground supermart available we had our late lunch at one of the restaurant for soba. Most time spend at the onitsuka shop buying shoes Tax refund available and to loft and toku hands. It gets very crowded at night and the popular junction at shibuya.
Onitsuka Store

We get the desk front people to book the airport transfer bus to pickup from the our hotel to airport. We have our lunch at the airport and reminded, you may buy cookies and biscuit in the airport if you are coming back from narita. All cookies are tax free inside. It is cheaper!
My 8 days Japan Loots are as of the above.
Tavel Insurance Claims
Ive made three claim submission for my trip.
- My dad was previously hospitalize and he feel that he want to cancel the trip as he just recovered and do not wish to travel with us to cold places. So, I notified the airline upon check in and make the travel claim refund when return.
- My mum visited the dentist, however was not allow to claim.
- My medicial bill and medicine that i visit the eye specialist clinic in osaka.
I manage to have successful claim for item 1 & 3. The process is not tedious with Explorer Travel Insurance aka the great eastern. But the slow response and processing time is super inefficient. It take more than 5 days for them to reply my email. The whole claim process took almost 2 months.

Hi Shuxian
We plan to go Osaka n stay Hearton Nishi Umeda is it a good choice ? We are three ladies in a room , not sure is it alright, bed ok ? We plan to head out to Kyoto & Nara Kobe , is it alot to walk to station ? NO lift at the train station ? Is it far ? Is our first time , we are rather worried ? Or any better choice of hotel ?
Hi Mandy,
I think the distance to walk to train station is nt far. But I have to let you know that the flight of stairs is no joke. Perhaps not so heavy luggage carry up shldnt be a problem. The room in japan is rather small, for considering hearten is quite decent. 3 person in a room probably u will have a extra bed thus walking space in room will be quite limited.
