Chao Yue Xuan Dim Sum at Junction 9
Looking what to eat over the weekend? The newly open Dim Sum Chao Yue Xuan has opened in May 2021 in Yishun. Added another buckle list to Yishun Good Food!
It was known that Chao Yue Xuan Dim Sum open by former chef from St Regis. So you can expect that you get to taste hotel standard Dim Sum in the heartland mall of Yishun.
I shall declare this is the best Dim Sum in Yishun!

Well as you know, popular eatery will be crowded with long Q so be patient the food is definitely worth the wait
First Visit 13 May 21
Chao Yue Xue is offering a wide range of variety of Dim Sum on their menu at a rather affordable price. It does not charge you service charge and GST at the point of my writing!
So I pay my visit to them today at 10am, and indeed there was already long Q waiting. The seating availble was rather limited and especially during this Covid-19 period, do expect for long waiting time. We gotten our reservation by leaving our contact number with them. They will called you once table is ready for you, and they will reserve your table for 15 mins. So if you are staying nearby or within 10 mins walk/ drive, you may wish to go home first!
So we received the call at 12.30pm after 2.5 hrs of wait even we were advise the waiting time will be 3hrs. But i was lucky, my brother’s place was near so i head to his place to catch some drama to pass time.
Dishes
So we have 3 of us to share, just nice, most of the dish has a good sharing for 3 pax. So you wont be overeating at times.
We paired the above dishes with the Signature HK Milk Tea ($2.80), personally i think the milk tea wasnt to the standard, so far the best HK milk tea i had is at Victor’s Kitchen located at Sunshine Plaza.
I have to review that Chao Xuan Dim Sum was really generous on the ingredients. Just take a look at the size of the meat in the Xiao Long Bao! is really good. For a moment i was thinking how did DTF XLB get popular, these XLB from CXDS is sooo much better than DTF.
Nevertheless, CXDS really provide a good range of variety and was really innovative in their presentation on their Dim Sum. I believe they serve pride on the food presentation!
It was a little disappointment for me as i do not get to taste their egg tart, it was alrdy not available at the time of my visit. Well there is alway next time.
Do not worry what to order, as the menu comes with photos! I think the effort for them to print out the images was really a good move.
So what dish is a must order? I personally feel the Congee is a must, smooth n surprisingly with the among of meat and century egg inside! You usally get pathetic strips of lean meat and chopped dice size of century egg at other Dim sum eatery. But it is not the case for CXDS.
The XLB is good, the Siew Mai and Har Kau was at a very good size to have a great taste of every bite. The inoovative recommendation dishes leave me with good impression are the Charcoal pastry with salted egg york custard of longan, the Pan-fried Shanghai pork dumpling, Steamed yam ball stuffed with coconut cream and mushroom bun and note forgetting the Steamed abalone with seafood dumplings in Superior Soup!
Bolo bun was good, but i think Carlton one is better >.<
They do have noodle and Rice option, if you are looking for a just a decent meal.
Total bill cost us about $81 and they only accept the following paying method: Cash/Nets/Paynow.
Well i definitely happy going with the Paynow method. Convenient, hassle free.
