It was my second visit to the thai embassy where they hosting thai event right there with plenty food stall. This time round I am there for After you that came to Singapore for the first time. Reason why I am returning to thai embassy is because that they are fully shelter and have portable air conditioner fan blowing the area. Not as hot as compare to Artbox hosted outdoor. And definitely lesser crowd compare to the artbox.
As I expected long Q, I arrived at 3.30pm on Sunday and indeed long Q. They are selling the hot favourite shibuya toast and the shave ice.
I Q for an hour and just about to be my turn to order at the cashier, they announced that the shibuya toast was sold out. Oh my, but nevertheless, we still in Q and bought the Thai Milk Tea Kakigori ($15) and the durian Crumb stick ($6), which is durian ice cream in a form of one durian seed. Other than thai milk tea they also has in durian flavour.
Other than the After you, there are also other great stalls available. Gu thai noodle café selling the thai grill pork (Moo Ping) for $2 each and 3 for $5. I really like the meat which is very well marinated and tender. It was so juicy and the texture of the meat is awesome. Just want to have more!
We also bought The Talad Drink ($5) which is pretty good. Didn’t expect it taste pretty decent with the mixture of colors. Kin Moo for Thai Braised Pork Knuckle Rice($9). Soi Thai Soi Nice for Deep Fried Pork Belly($4). We try the rainbow mango sticky rice however mango was sold out so we bought the durian sticky rice ($8).
